The process behind the placement

Kickoff and Calibration

MCZ Align conducts a detailed kickoff with the hiring manager within the first week of every engagement. No assumptions. No shortcuts. Every decision made in that first conversation shapes the quality of everything that follows.

We go deep from the start:

Job description review
Must-haves vs. nice-to-haves calibration
Compensation alignment
Target company mapping
Interview process design

Within two weeks, the hiring manager sees the first candidate submissions. From there, a recalibration meeting sharpens the search into the narrow end of the funnel.

How We Build the Slate

MCZ Align takes a dual approach to candidate sourcing:

Top-down:

Leveraging a deep network built over decades at the intersection of healthcare technology, pharma services, and care delivery to circulate the opportunity to pre-existing market relationships

Bottom-up:

Direct outreach to candidates from LinkedIn and relevant industry lists who meet the specific criteria of the role

For confidential searches, the company name is intentionally withheld from outbound messaging and shared with the candidate at a pre-agreed point in the process.

Accountable to Close

Hiring criteria shift and business needs evolve. When they do, MCZ Align adapts:

If priorities shift, the existing candidate slate is re-ranked — not rebuilt from scratch
If the role changes completely, that is a new engagement and we will tell you that directly

From kickoff to offer accepted is typically a 90-day process. Some engagements move faster.

The Guarantee

For retained searches, MCZ Align guarantees every placement for 6 to 12 months depending on the engagement. For contingent searches, the guarantee period is 90 days.
